In 2012, Andrew Wong, a distinguished Mechanical Engineering graduate from UTAR, took an unexpected step into the world of life insurance. What began as a part-time venture soon turned into a full-time career, fueled by his ambitious vision to build a leading wealth management and insurance empire. Just four months into the industry, Andrew decided to dedicate himself entirely to this mission, with a goal of creating a professional team of young, high-achieving financial advisors.

Over the years, Andrew’s career has been marked by remarkable accomplishments. Since 2013, he has consistently earned prestigious accolades, including the Great Eastern Rookie Award (Great Leo Award), SES and Supremacy Award (Annual overseas incentives award), and the Malaysia Akard Award. His dedication and success culminated in his promotion to Agency Manager in 2016, where he began leading his own team towards new heights.

Recognizing the evolving demands of the financial market, Andrew enhanced his expertise by earning certifications such as Life Planning Advisor (LPA) and Registered Financial Planner (RFP). His foresight led to the expansion of services beyond Life Insurance, encompassing Estate Planning (Will and Trust Services), General Insurance, Takaful, Mortgage Loan Services, and Business Insurance (Business Solutions), positioning AWG as a comprehensive financial solutions provider.

On October 7, 2021, Andrew officially founded AWG Agency—an acronym for ‘Andrew Wong Group.’ AWG represents a vibrant, visionary team committed to excellence in wealth management. Within its first month, the agency established its own office and implemented professional training systems, reflecting Andrew’s dedication to building a solid foundation for the team’s success.

By 2024, Andrew achieved a significant milestone by being promoted to Group Agency Manager, the highest rank in the company. This achievement signifies AWG’s readiness to embrace even greater challenges and opportunities.

Under Andrew’s leadership, AWG Agency is heading toward world level the benchmarks of MDRT and CIA500 as guiding aspirations. The agency is steadfast in its mission to become one of Malaysia’s most formidable financial teams, delivering exceptional services to clients.
